This guide will let you know how to TURN off Text Chat in DESTINY 2 & Settings. You just have to follow the simple steps below to turn it off.
First of all, you have to press options and then go to settings on the top right side of your screen. After that, go to social, navigate Text Chat and select the first option. You need to completely turn it OFF. After doing this, you will not receive any messages.
But in case you don’t want to completely turn this off but just want to mute some channels, then you need to click on the Allow Profanity filter. By default, it is set to nobody, you can add the channels you want to block. Under this, you will have the whisper chat, and team chat options. You can set these according to your personal choice. In the local chat, you can completely hide it as it will not show you any local messages.
