In this guide, you will find out how to install Smash Ultimate Mods on Switch. You have to follow the step-by-step instructions below to install it.
Requirements
1- First, you’ll need a moddable or already modded Nintendo switch running atmosphere custom firmware or you can use smash mods with Reujinx on your PC.
2- The other thing that you will need for this is a program capable of opening and extracting 7-zip and RAR compressed folders.
3- The third thing that you will need is cis ftpd lite as it allows you to send files to and from your switch wirelessly.
Information
i- Smash mods are not permanently installed on your console just like with atmosphere custom firmware and most homebrew in general placing it on your sd card does not install them to your console.
ii- If you turn off your switch completely and turn it back on, Smash mods will not be available on your console.
Mods Download
AR cropolis
1- First, turn off your switch and put your sd card in your computer or connect to your switch via FTP with your computer. Then click on the following link https://github.com/Raytwo/ARCropolis and it will take you to the official site of Github from where you can download the AR Cropolis mod.
2- Once you reach this site, scroll down come under the Download option and click on the link. It will take you to the latest version of Cropolis, scroll down and go under the Assets tab. You need to click on release.zip.
3- Extract the folder after downloading and you will find two more folders. Now open your switch sd card, and move the atmosphere folder and ultimate folder to the root of your sd card.
skyline
4- First, click on the following link https://github.com/skyline-dev/skyline/ and it will take you to the official site of Github where you can download the Skyline mod.
Information
Skyline is an environment for linking runtime hooking and code patching and Smash ultimate. You will need both skyline and acropolis together to use most Smash mods.
5- Once you reach this site, scroll down under the release option on the right side of the screen. Move under Assets and click on skyline.zip.
6- Once the download completes, extract the folder and open the atmosphere folder on your sd card. Inside the atmosphere, open the contents folder inside the contents folder. Now, inside the contents folder is where the title id for games are placed.
7- The folder whose name has numbers and letters is the smash ID folder. You have to open this folder, then drag the ex efs folder from the skyline downloaded folder and drop it here.
Mods Setup
1- Now set up the folder that will place your mods in it. Download some mods, then go over the setup, go to the root of your sd card and open the ultimate folder. After that, make a new folder here and the name of the folder should be Mods.
2- Now open the newly created Mods folder and click on the following link https://gamebanana.com/games/6498. It will take you to the smash ultimate game banana page. On the main page of this site, you will find featured mods, and then under the featured mods, you will find the latest mods or threads. There will be a mods section on the right side of the page.
3- Form here, you can download different mods like skin mods, sound mods, video mods, etc. Once the mods are downloaded, drag and drop them into the mods folder on your SD card.
Download NVidia
1- To download NVidia drivers, you have to click on the following link https://www.nvidia.com/download/index... After that, select your product type, and your product series. Last, select your operating system and tap on Search.
2- It will take you to a new page and you need to click on the Download button. After that, extract it by clicking on the Extract Here button, then install it and restart your PC.
3- Once your PC is on, open the NVidia GeForce Experience; if you don’t have an account, then sign up, and if you have an account, then click on the Sign in button. Once you are Signed in then click on the three dots under your username on the top right corner of the screen then select scan for games and apps from the drop-down menu as it will add supported games to the software.
4- After that, click on the Settings button at the top right corner of the screen next to your username and then select the shield option from the left side of the screen. Make sure that the game stream is turned ON and then click on the Add button. Through this, you can add different games here.
Nintendo Switch
1- Go to your switch and make sure that the switch is connected to the same network to which your PC is connected.
2- Now open up the homebrew menu by launching a game and holding the R button then navigate to moonlight and press the A button to open moonlight. You’ll see find host, add host, and some other options from the top right side of the screen, you have to click on the Settings button.
3- On this page, set your resolution and your FPS. Then come back and click on Add host. On the next page, you have to enter your PC’s IP address. For this, go back to your PC and then open the command prompt by searching cmd on the windows search column.
After that, write ipconfig in the command prompt, and press enter. In front of the IPV4 address, you will get your PC’s Ip, you need to copy that Ip.
4- After that, go back to Switch and enter your PC’s IP address here. Now, your PC is linked to the Switch, select the PC Icon and press the A button. It will pop up the list of games in front of you with all the latest mods that you have installed. From here, you can select the game you want to play.
