Gem crafting is unlocked around the middle of chapter two when you hit the desert area.
Once you do this quest which requires a dude to unlock it with Riku and you are at one of these camps like this. You can do gem crafting on this screen.
It’s pretty simple once you know how. Here you have got four rows.
Defense Row:
Offense row (Increases attack):
Healer row (Do healing):
Special row (Increases max HP):
You must know which items will be required to craft a gem.
In this case, a gemstone steel cleaver X requires an Elegant Ansel Feather, an Igna weapon, and Ardun Horns, Jagron Fossil to craft. You can find some of these items on the ground all over the place in this game. You can find some material from killing enemies and then sometimes you’ll also find these items in like a container or something like that.
You can press L or R to go to the different tiers of these gems. The higher the tier, the more material will be required to craft it.
You can go through and craft yourself a gem to whatever level you want if you have the materials. You craft a gem of tier 10 if you want but you’d need all the crazy materials that are hard to get.
It’s also important to know that everybody can equip the same gemstone; you don’t have to make a gemstone for every single person. You can just make one gemstone and then if you upgrade a gemstone, it will just replace the old one. You don’t have to go and re-equip or anything like that.
Another thing that you should know is that you can circumvent this by using gold coins.
It says it will cost 8 gold coins, so you could just spend eight gold coins to make this if you want but they are very hard to find.
Once you’ve made the gems, you have to go to your inventory.
Then go to characters and navigate to the gems tab. Here you can equip the same gem on all the characters.
