The first thing you will need to do is to make sure that you have is maybe 4-8 ancient artifact planetary charts, which you can get from a cartographer at any space station. After that, you have to use it in whatever system you might be in. Now when you use your planetary chart, you have to look for the alien monolith beacon. It will lead you to the portal.
Each time you reach a monolith to get to the point where you can request portal coordinates, you will need to answer or in some cases solve a small puzzle correctly before you are able to proceed. To request the location of a portal, you will need to give an artifact relevant to whatever system you are in. For example, if you are in a korvax system, you might have to give a korvax casing or convergence cube.
