In this guide, you will find out how to Install Mods for tModloader. You have to follow all the instructions below to install the mods.
1. First, you will need some mods which you can find from the Terraria forums, from the in-game mod browser, and from tmodLoader or at the Steam workshop for mod loader.
2. You can order your game server from “https://aleforge.net/gameservers“.
3. When you install the mods from the in-game mod browser, they will go to this directory Documents > MyGames >Terarria >ModLoader>Mods.
4. If you install them from the steam workshop they will appear in this directory C:\ program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\workshop\content\1281930. The Drive Letter may differ upon your selected drive where you have installed the steam application. When you have a set of mods that you’ll like to use, open the Aleforge panel, click on files and then open the mods folder.
5. If you don’t have a mods folder, you must create one with the “create directory” button at the top right of the screen.
6. Now drag and drop the tMod files and enable .json into the folder. If you don’t find enable.json, then you have to create one to enable the mods.
7. So create enable.json and you need to click on the New File Button.
8. Add a square bracket and hit enter, add some quotation marks and type in your mods name with exactly the same spellings which were in your mods folder. And if you want to add more than one mod into the JSON format, then you need to use a comma as a separator. No need to add a comma at the end of the last one. After that, click on create a file at the bottom right and give it name as enable.json.
9. Now to ensure the mod has been installed correctly, click on the Console from the left side menu then Start the server.
10. Once the server start running you can type the mod list into the console. If you have installed the mods correctly you will see all the mods here.
