Disk Cache Enabler uses the disk cache for I/O in order to reduce disk activity. It will drastically improve the overall game performance and also reduces stuttering.
To install the Disk Cache Enabler plugin in Starfield, follow these simple steps:
- First, download the Disk Cache Enabler plugin from the Nexus site. (You might need to create an account if you don’t have one).
- After downloading the mod file, you’ll need to paste the Data folder into the Starfield game directory.
Starfield location:
Local Disk (C:) > Users > Documents > My Games > Starfield
Starfield location (Steam):
C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\Starfield\
Note: You’ll have to overwrite the files in case of any duplicate files.
SFSE – Steam Installation:
- Firstly, download the SFSE from the NexusMods website.
- Extract the contents of the “Data” folder from the SFSE archive to your Starfield game installation directory.
- To ensure the plugin functions properly, launch Starfield with SFSE as it is installed.
ASI Loader – Steam Installation:
- Firstly, obtain the “Ultimate ASI Loader” from the official GitHub page.
- After that, extract the files located in the “plugins” folder of the ASI Loader archive to the root directory of your Starfield installation.
Alternatively, you can also auto-install the mod by using Vortex mod manager.
That’s it! Your mod is now installed. You can try it out by launching the game.
